Background

A practical advocate for growing businesses

Since earning his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law, Shaun has brought professional legal advocacy to clients in Massachusetts and Florida, building a practice focused on the real, day-to-day needs of established small- to mid-size businesses.

He works directly with clients—rather than handing matters to paralegals or legal assistants—to craft strategies that capture the full range of their goals while preserving the personalized, boutique atmosphere of a small firm. That hands-on approach means clients always know who is handling their matter and what the next step looks like.

His work spans both sides of protecting a business: the business law that keeps operations sound—contracts, formation, disputes—and the intellectual property that protects the brand and creative work behind it. From the negotiating table to the courtroom and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, Shaun is a relentless advocate for the businesses he represents.

As an intellectual property attorney, Shaun has helped clients register well over 100 trademarks with the USPTO and a wide range of works with the U.S. Copyright Office—from novels and musical works to motion pictures, technical drawings, and three-dimensional works of art. He has enforced copyrights against infringers and defended clients against allegations of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and trade secret misappropriation—helping clients both perfect their IP rights and resolve intellectual property disputes.

Shaun is also the author of the firm's legal insights blog, where he shares practical guidance on the contract, dispute, and IP questions business owners face most.
